Pratt

Pratt went missing in Piscataway, NJ on October 31st. Recently rescued from a high kill shelter in California and transported all the way to NJ. Pratt was extremely fearful and shut down and needed time to decompress and learn to trust. Pratt was not given this opportunity, instead he was set up for failure. Only having been in his new foster home for three days, he was left outside unattended in the yard for hours. When the foster finally decided to go check on him, Pratt was gone, he had climbed up and over the four foot chain link fence.
I am so tired of the blatant negligence that these poor souls are subjected to over and over, I can no longer sugar coat these stories.
Long story short, Pratt was captured today in Edison. NJ after twenty days on the run.
He is safe and in competent hands now and that’s what is important but my god people do better by these dogs… enough is enough!
Thank you to the amazing staff at the Edison Municipal Animal Shelter who stepped up to allow Pratt the safe haven he needed after capture.
