Effort, PA Stray - Davinci

Posted by Nicole Asher on

Another day, another dumped dog, another all nighter spent in my truck.
This intact male was running for over a week in the Sun Valley area of Effort, Pennsylvania. The growls you hear are not because he’s a vicious dog, he’s just scared. This why we stress not to try to grab strays or frightened dogs, because in the end it’s the dog that pays the price simply because they were scared and failed by humans.
This boy needs to decompress and feel safe…it takes time.
Thank you to Vyolet for contacting me and the residents Merendah and Zack of Sun Valley for allowing me to set up on your properties to bring another lost soul to safety. A huge thank you to my friend and rescue colleague, Courtney Dinkel for answering your phone at the crack of dawn and opening your doors to provide a safe haven for him until he is transferred to our friends at the The New Pike County Humane Society.
You’re safe now sweet boy! ♥️
